This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, to provide class cover, in our happy, forward looking primary school, graded as 'Good' by Ofsted (May 2022). Spurred on by this judgement, we have a continued rigour to provide the best we can for our children. We need someone who can demonstrate consistency, build strong relationships and have high expectations at all times.

Heron Park is truly a school where everyone learns and achieves together, and where you can make a real difference to the lives of children.

The successful candidate will be deployed throughout both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is self motivated, happy to work as part of a team and keen to help all children reach their potential.

A good level of Maths and English is required, and training and support will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate is able to thrive in our dynamic teaching and learning environment.

We can offer:

  • A friendly and welcoming school full of children who want to learn
  • A creative and exciting curriculum
  • Excellent professional development opportunities
  • Committed support from the Leadership Team
  • Extensive facilities for outdoor learning
  • Access to our Aurora Advantage Scheme, which provides many benefits including an On Demand GP, access to an Employee Wellbeing and Assistance scheme, high street discounts and a Cycle to Work scheme.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Aurora Academies Trust is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
