Are you looking to start your career whilst studying towards a recognised qualification?

If so then we have a fantastic opportunity within the Education Division of East Sussex County Council.

We are looking to appoint four Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentices to our admin teams based in Eastbourne and Lewes it is a great place to start your career in the public sector. In these varied roles you will be trained on site as there is no college requirement for this apprenticeship. You will have a mentor and Apprenticeship Coach to support you through your work and studies. This is a great opportunity to work and learn in a fully supported environment.

The role will include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
  • Monitoring outlook inboxes.
  • Minute, produce and distribute accurate records of meetings.
  • Supporting services within the division through a variety of admin tasks.
  • Produce correspondence and reports from written documents.
  • Attending team meetings.
  • Learn how to answer and resolve an issue for staff, customers, or other agencies.
  • Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to provide support to our Education Division Admin teams. We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to championing change for children.

Training provided:

  • Level 3 Business Administration
  • Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics (Level 2) - if required
  • Functional Skills Qualification in English (Level 2) - if required

Interviews are scheduled for Monday 12 August, Eastbourne and Tuesday 13 August 2024, County Hall, Lewes. They will be in the form of a face-to-face interview, followed by a task (this is a fixed date and cannot be changed).

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
