Ratton School is seeking a dedicated and imaginative professional to join our team as a Teacher of PE with the ability to also teach Science. We are committed to delivering high-quality education that empowers students to excel academically and develop essential life skills. Our school fosters an enquiring mind, promotes independent learning, and instils a passion for both Science and PE.

Key Responsibilities:

Science:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging science lessons to inspire students' curiosity and foster a love for learning.
  • Promote independent thinking and encourage the development of an enquiring mind among students.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in science education and incorporate relevant advancements into lesson plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities to enhance students' awareness, knowledge and understanding of Science.

PE:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that help students become physically confident and participate in a range of competitive and physically demanding activities.
  • Encourage the development of motor competence, teamwork and individual physical activity.
  • Promote an understanding of rules, strategies and tactics in various sports and activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students' physical and social development.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular sports and activities to promote health, fitness, and well-being.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
