Teacher of Geography required from September 2024 or January 2025

The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, talented, committed and inspiring full-time Teacher of Geography, to start September 2024 or January 2025 for the right applicant (fixed-term basis until 31st August 2025).
The Geography team sits within a large and thriving Humanities area which currently comprises of the following subjects: History, Geography, Classics and RS. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4 and the ability to teach one other humanities subject at KS3 would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a commitment to high expectations, with the ability to inspire and challenge students;
  • Develop targeted learning resources to support the diverse make up of the student body;
  • Have a proven track record of impacting upon students' learning;
  • The ability to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4
  • Have a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status;

The post would be suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
