This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

Sacred Heart Primary are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated part time language teacher to our welcoming and friendly primary school.

We require someone for half a day a week 0.1 FTE. You will be teaching Years 3-6.

We require someone with QTS or PGCE and with experience of teaching MFL in a primary setting.

The school has historically taught French but we would also consider other languages.  The successful applicant will take up the post in September 2024

You will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality MFL lessons to students from Year 3 through to Year 6
  • Develop students’ verbal and written communication skills in French.
  • Create an exciting learning environment that supports language acquisition and cultural awareness.
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback to support their learning journey.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
