Hours of work: 22.9 per week
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

Fixed term: Until 31st August 2025

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

We are seeking an additional and dynamic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Crowhurst, a vibrant and successful Church of England Primary School at the heart of our beautiful village. Our school is committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring education for all children, rooted in strong Christian values.

What you'll do:

  • Work alongside teachers to support learning across all subjects, with a focus on (but not exclusively) small intervention groups.
  • Tailor your approach to unique needs and learning styles of pupils.
  • Deliver engaging and stimulating learning activities that complement the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and respected.

What you'll bring:

  • A warm and caring personality with a genuine love for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to Christian values and a willingness to support the school's faith-based ethos.
  • Experience working in a primary school environment, ideally with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Hours - mornings only 5 days a week - 8:40 -13:15.

This post includes 1 hour per day lunch duty.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
