The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an English Specialist Teacher to teach throughout our outstanding school at Key Stages 3 & 4 to GCSE level, from September 2024.

Teachers at The Southfield Trust are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils. You will be confident in directing and utilising support staff within the classroom, in order to create a fun and effective learning environment for our pupils.

The ideal candidate will successfully set a vision and targets for pupil success and be confident in using their knowledge and expertise to monitor progress, give regular feedback and encourage our young people to adopt a responsible and conscientious approach to their own work and study.

Just as important as academic achievement is the social and emotional development of our pupils. We want our pupils to be successful citizens and positively contribute to their local communities, it will therefore be imperative to provide opportunities to advance these skills.

This can be a challenging environment and therefore, determination and resilience are key characteristics for the post. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply for this post.

You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and motivated to help every child reach their potential.

If you are passionate about working with students with additional needs, and have the energy, drive and desire to motivate our pupils and ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes, then we welcome your application.

This post is initially required for The Lindfield School, however, candidates should be aware they may be required to work at any one of the Trust’s schools.
