Lansdowne Secure Children's home is one of the only 14 in the UK and is a modern, state of the art building with excellent and diverse facilities. We are looking for a Housekeeper to assist with the day to day running of this excellent facility, working from 6:30am - 11:30am Monday to Friday.

The post holder will undertake general cleaning and domestic duties to the required standard in accordance with agreed schedules/rotas of work, either individually or as part of a team. 

Some Core duties are listed below, but for a full list, please read the Job description:

  • Be responsible for the cleaning of designated areas, to include cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuming, laundry, this will include toilets and associated facilities.
  • Operate, where necessary, appropriate powered equipment to undertake the main duties of the post e.g. carpet cleaning equipment
  • Deep clean the building, or areas of the building, as instructed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ability to adhere to a cleaning programme
  • Ability to work to required standards
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work with minimal supervision and work independently.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
