Do you have a passion for supporting individuals with a learning disability to achieve their full potential? If you do, then a role as a support worker at St Nicholas Day Service may be just what you are looking for.

As a Support Worker you will be working alongside an enthusiastic and passionate team supporting adults with learning disabilities in a day service setting. Whether you are leading an activity session, supporting clients to learn independence skills or building service links within our local community, no two days will be the same.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a positive attitude towards the rights of people with learning disabilities
  • Have communication and organisational skills
  • Are self-motivated
  • Are committed to providing support
  • Willing to undertake training required to complete the job role
  • Have an ethos of working together

Our day service operates between 8am to 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays  & Fridays. We have 30 hrs a week available, covering our operating hours on a rota basis

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
