Ditchling village traffic survey

In July 2006, we carried out a detailed survey of traffic in Ditchling. The results of this survey will help us to develop a Local Area Transport Strategy (LATS) for Ditchling Village and the surrounding area.

The survey included roadside interviews as well as traffic counts at different locations in the village. The report below sets out the results of the survey including, including information on:

• the volume of traffic
• the start and end points of journeys through the village
• types of traffic travelling through the village (eg Heavy Goods Vehicles, motorbikes, cars etc)
• the purpose of the journeys through the village.
